Who portrayed Ronan the Accuser in the MCU?

Lee Pace portrayed Ronan the Accuser in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He played the character in Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) and returned as a younger version in Captain Marvel (2019).

The MCU version of Ronan is a fanatical Kree warrior and former servant of Thanos. In Guardians of the Galaxy, he rejects a peace treaty between the Kree and Xandar and seeks to destroy the planet. After discovering that the orb contains the Power Stone, Ronan turns against Thanos and tries to use the stone himself. The Guardians ultimately defeat him by combining their strength through the Power Stone.

Ronan comes from Marvel Comics, where he debuted in Fantastic Four #65 in 1967. There, he is a powerful Kree official known as the Supreme Accuser and is often more politically complex than the purely ruthless film version.

Viewers sometimes confuse Pace with Josh Brolin, who plays Thanos, or Tom Hiddleston, who plays Loki. Kurt Russell appears in the MCU as Ego, Peter Quill’s father.
