Which Infinity Stone is kept inside the Eye of Agamotto?

The Infinity Stone kept inside the Eye of Agamotto is the Time Stone.

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the Eye is an ancient mystical relic used by sorcerers at Kamar-Taj. Doctor Stephen Strange discovers that it contains the green Time Stone, allowing its wielder to manipulate time. Strange uses it to examine possible futures and to create a time loop against Dormammu in Doctor Strange.

The Eye is often confused with other objects that house Infinity Stones. The Space Stone is contained in the Tesseract, while the Mind Stone is first associated with Loki’s scepter and later with Vision. The Reality Stone appears as the Aether, and the Power Stone is hidden in the Orb from Guardians of the Galaxy.

The relic’s identity also differs across Marvel continuities. The MCU connects the Eye directly to the Time Stone, but the comics have their own history for the Eye and do not necessarily pair it with the same Infinity Stone. This quiz’s answer is therefore specifically the MCU version.
