Which Infinity Stone is purple in color?

The purple Infinity Stone is the Power Stone. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it represents the destructive force of energy and can dramatically amplify the strength and abilities of anyone who uses it.

The Power Stone is introduced prominently in Guardians of the Galaxy, where it is hidden inside an Orb and pursued by multiple factions. Peter Quill discovers the Orb on Morag, but its power is so immense that ordinary beings cannot safely handle it. The Guardians eventually use their combined strength to withstand its energy and defeat Ronan the Accuser.

The stone later becomes one of the six Infinity Stones sought by Thanos. When placed in the Infinity Gauntlet, it contributes to his ability to carry out the Snap. Its purple color is specific to the MCU’s visual system; the stones’ colors and details differ in some versions of Marvel Comics.

Readers sometimes confuse it with the Space Stone, which is blue, or the Reality Stone, which is red. The other MCU stones are Mind (yellow), Time (green), and Soul (orange).
