Who voices the rusty tow truck Mater in Pixar's Cars movies?

Larry the Cable Guy voices Mater in Pixar's Cars movies.

Mater is a rusty tow truck and one of Radiator Springs' most prominent residents. His full name is commonly given as Tow Mater, a pun on the phrase “tow mater,” which sounds like “tomato.”

Larry the Cable Guy, the stage name of comedian Daniel Lawrence Whitney, provides Mater's distinctive Southern-inflected voice. Mater becomes Lightning McQueen's best friend after their early encounters in Radiator Springs.

The character has a larger role in Cars 2, where his literal-minded behavior draws him into an international espionage adventure. Mater also headlines the animated short-form series Cars on the Road. His design was influenced by old tow trucks and roadside vehicles, helping him fit the film's Route 66 atmosphere.
