In Cars 2, what is the name of the villainous weapons designer Professor Zündapp?

Professor Zündapp is the villainous weapons designer in Pixar's Cars 2.

Professor Zündapp, often called Professor Z, is a German-accented scientist who helps organize the plot against the World Grand Prix. He develops the electromagnetic weapon used by the villains to interfere with race cars whose engines run on Allinol. His work is part of a scheme intended to discredit the alternative fuel.

The character is associated with the design of the Zündapp Janus, a small German microcar produced in the 1950s. That historical vehicle gives the character his name and visual identity. His formal name includes an umlaut: Zündapp.

Professor Z is not the mastermind revealed at the end of the film. Sir Miles Axlerod, the race organizer and former oil magnate, is exposed as the central conspirator. Finn McMissile is a British spy who investigates the plot, while Acer is one of the henchmen involved in the operation.
