Miles Axlerod is revealed as the mastermind behind the spy conspiracy in Pixar’s Cars 2.
Axlerod is introduced as the billionaire founder of the World Grand Prix and a supporter of Allinol, the alternative fuel promoted during the event. His public role makes him appear to be a sponsor of international racing and clean technology.
The film later reveals that Axlerod has secretly organized the plot to discredit Allinol. The conspiracy uses electromagnetic weapons to make cars running on the fuel appear to malfunction, encouraging the world to reject it. Mater, Finn McMissile, and Holley Shiftwell uncover the plan.
