Who performed A Bar Song (Tipsy) at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards?

Shaboozey performed “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards.

The performance was part of the show’s remote, multi-location format rather than a single traditional arena stage. Shaboozey appeared from the W Hotel Hollywood, while other performers were filmed in locations including Los Angeles, Nashville, Detroit, London, Sydney and São Paulo.

“A Bar Song (Tipsy)” was released on April 12, 2024, as the fourth single from Shaboozey’s album Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going. The country-pop and country-rap track interpolates J-Kwon’s 2004 hit “Tipsy,” which explains a common mix-up: the song’s title and hook reference an earlier recording, but Shaboozey is the performing artist credited at the ceremony.

The song also won major awards during the 2024 ceremony, including Top Selling Song and Top Country Song. Shaboozey’s appearance therefore involved both a performance and prominent recognition as one of the year’s leading artists.
