Drake received Billboard’s Artist of the Decade Award for the 2010s.
The honor was presented at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards, after Billboard evaluated chart performance across the 2010s. Drake’s decade was marked by sustained success on both the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200, rather than by just one blockbuster release.
His achievements included multiple No. 1 albums, numerous hit singles and an extraordinary number of chart entries. Albums such as Take Care, Nothing Was the Same, Views, More Life and Scorpion helped make him one of the defining commercial artists of the era.
The timing can cause confusion: the award recognized the 2010s but was presented in 2021, after the ceremony was delayed from its originally planned schedule. It is also separate from the ordinary annual Top Artist award, which Drake won at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards.
