Which waterfall is Ghana’s highest, with a main drop of about 80 metres?

The story behind the answer

Wli Falls is Ghana’s highest waterfall, with a main drop of about 80 metres.

The falls are in Ghana’s Volta Region near the town of Wli, close to the Togo border. Water from the Agumatsa Range descends through a forested valley, creating an upper and lower section commonly known together as Wli Falls.

The lower falls are the most accessible and are reached by a trail through tropical forest. The area is also known for a large colony of fruit bats, which can often be seen around the cliffs and trees near the waterfall.

Wli Falls is sometimes called Agumatsa Falls, after the river and range associated with it. The name Wli is widely used for the attraction and for the nearby community.
