Which Mexican waterfall on the Gallinas River is known for its broad turquoise curtain near Aquismón?

The story behind the answer

Tamul Waterfall is the Mexican waterfall on the Gallinas River known for its broad turquoise curtain near Aquismón.

Tamul is in San Luis Potosí, within the Huasteca region. The waterfall is created where the Gallinas River plunges over a limestone escarpment before joining the Santa María River. It is commonly reported as about 105 metres high and roughly 300 metres wide, although dimensions can vary with water levels and measuring methods.

The area is known for boat trips through a river canyon, and the waterfall’s appearance changes substantially between the rainy and dry seasons. High flows can make the curtain wider and more forceful.

Tamul should not be confused with Basaseachic Falls in Chihuahua, which is a tall waterfall in a different northern landscape. Tamul is particularly associated with the Huasteca’s limestone rivers and vivid water color.
