Peakychu is the electricity-lacking Pikachu in Pokémon Pokopia.
Peakychu is a special Pikachu encountered during the story. Unlike an ordinary Pikachu, this character has lost the ability to generate electricity, giving it a distinctive personal problem within the game’s collection of unusual Pokémon.
The name is a wordplay variation on Pikachu, so it can be confused with the standard species name or with other Pikachu forms from the wider Pokémon franchise. Peakychu is specifically a named character in Pokopia’s story, not a new evolution or a separate species in the main Pokédex.
Pokopia introduces several special Pokémon with altered appearances, histories, or occupations. Examples include Mosslax, a Snorlax covered by moss and plants, Chef Dente, a Greedent associated with cooking, and DJ Rotom, a Rotom possessing a stereo system. Peakychu fits this pattern of story-specific characters.
