Which Singapore pedestrian bridge, opened in 2010, is inspired by the double-helix structure of DNA?

The story behind the answer

The Helix Bridge is the Singapore pedestrian bridge opened in 2010 and inspired by the double-helix structure of DNA.

Officially called The Helix, it crosses Marina Bay and links the Marina Centre area with Marina South. Its stainless-steel tubular structure forms two interlocking spirals, creating a sheltered pedestrian route beside the vehicle-carrying Benjamin Sheares Bridge.

The bridge opened in April 2010. Viewing platforms project from the main walkway, giving visitors views toward Marina Bay Sands, the Singapore Flyer, and the waterfront skyline.

Its DNA inspiration is architectural rather than biological: the bridge does not reproduce a literal molecular model. The design uses pairs of opposing curves and a network of struts to create both the double-helix appearance and structural support.
