Which French bridge links Le Havre and Honfleur across the Seine estuary?

The story behind the answer

The Pont de Normandie links Le Havre and Honfleur across the Seine estuary in northern France.

This cable-stayed bridge opened in 1995 and carries road traffic over the wide estuary near where the Seine reaches the English Channel. Its main span is 856 metres, making it one of the notable long-span bridges of its era.

The bridge’s deck is supported by stays connected to two tall concrete pylons. Its construction improved road connections between Le Havre, Honfleur, and Normandy’s coastal and inland routes, reducing reliance on ferries and older crossings.

The Pont de Normandie is sometimes confused with the nearby Pont de Tancarville, another major crossing of the Seine. Tancarville is a suspension bridge, while Pont de Normandie is a cable-stayed bridge.
