Ditto is the Pokémon that transforms into a human-like form as the player character in Pokémon Pokopia.
This choice builds directly on Ditto’s established identity as a shapeshifting Pokémon. In Pokopia, the transformed Ditto explores a deserted world, gathers materials, constructs buildings, and helps restore habitats for other Pokémon. The human appearance is not a separate human avatar: it is Ditto using its transformation ability.
The story begins after Ditto discovers an old Pokédex belonging to its trainer. By taking a form based on that trainer, Ditto can interact with the environment in a more human-like way while still learning and using Pokémon moves. Players can also customize Ditto’s appearance, including hair, skin color, and clothing.
A common mix-up is choosing Mew or Zorua because both are associated with unusual transformations in Pokémon lore. However, Pokopia’s playable protagonist is specifically Ditto, making the answer unique.
