In Pokémon Pokopia, Bulbasaur gives the player character the move Leafage. Ditto learns moves from befriended Pokémon and uses them as practical tools during rebuilding.
Leafage is presented as an environmental ability rather than merely a battle move. It transforms Ditto’s arms into vines, allowing the player to add greenery and create vegetation in the developing habitat.
This move-learning system is central to Pokopia’s identity. Different Pokémon teach abilities that solve different problems, turning friendships into new construction and exploration options.
Bulbasaur’s contribution is sometimes confused with Squirtle’s. Squirtle teaches Water Gun, which can refresh thirsty plants, while other Pokémon provide abilities connected with cutting debris or breaking rocks. The moves therefore function as a toolkit for restoring the landscape.
