Ditto appears as the playable human-like character in Pokémon Pokopia.
At the beginning of the story, Ditto finds an abandoned world and uses its transformation powers to take on a human-like appearance. This visual identity lets the player interact with the environment in a way that resembles a human builder while retaining Ditto’s Pokémon-based story.
The game uses that premise to connect narrative and mechanics. Ditto befriends Pokémon, learns their moves, and uses those moves to cultivate habitats and gather materials. The player’s work gradually turns a desolate landscape into a welcoming place for Pokémon.
Pikachu, Smeargle, and Tangrowth all have notable roles or appearances, but none is the main playable character. Professor Tangrowth is especially important as a story guide, which can make the two characters easy to confuse.
