Which Pokémon acts as Pokopia’s main environmental guide?

Professor Tangrowth acts as Pokémon Pokopia’s main environmental guide.

Professor Tangrowth is a Tangrowth who studies the abandoned world and investigates why humans and Pokémon disappeared. After Ditto begins restoring the environment, Tangrowth becomes an important companion and guide through the story.

The character is distinct from the human Pokémon professors found in many main-series games. Professor Tangrowth is a Pokémon himself, and his role reflects Pokopia’s premise that Pokémon must rebuild and understand the world after humanity’s departure.

Ditto remains the playable protagonist, while Professor Tangrowth supplies knowledge, direction, and story context. The name can also be confused with Professor Oak, the famous Kanto researcher, but Oak does not serve as Pokopia’s guide. Tangrowth’s unusual title is part of the game’s post-human setting.
