Which mountain range contains Mount Roraima, the famous tabletop mountain of South America?

The story behind the answer

Mount Roraima is part of the Pakaraima Mountains in the Guiana Highlands of South America.

Roraima is a spectacular tepui, or flat-topped sandstone mountain, whose summit plateau rises to about 2,810 metres. It lies near the tripoint of Venezuela, Guyana, and Brazil. The mountain’s sheer cliffs and isolated summit create a distinctive landscape unlike the folded ranges of the Andes.

The Pakaraima Mountains are an upland system in the Guiana Shield. Their table mountains are built from very old quartz-rich sandstone, deposited over geological time and later uplifted and eroded. Many tepuis support plants and animals found nowhere else.

Mount Roraima inspired descriptions of remote lost worlds in popular literature, although its real ecology and geology are more complex than fictional portrayals. The mountain is often called part of the Guiana Highlands, but Pakaraima Mountains is the more specific range answer.
