Which Malaysian pedestrian bridge curves through the rainforest on Langkawi’s Gunung Mat Cincang?
Answer
Langkawi Sky Bridge
Answer
Langkawi Sky Bridge
The Langkawi Sky Bridge is the Malaysian pedestrian bridge curving through the rainforest on Gunung Mat Cincang.
The bridge is suspended high above the ground near the summit of Langkawi’s second-highest mountain. Visitors reach it by riding the Langkawi Cable Car, then walk along its curved deck for views of forested slopes, nearby islands and the Andaman Sea.
The bridge is about 125 metres long and is supported from a single pylon by a system of cables. Its curved design follows the mountain landscape rather than forming a straight crossing. The deck includes viewing areas and is designed for pedestrians, not ordinary road traffic.
The Langkawi Sky Bridge is often confused with Penang Bridge, a major road crossing linking Penang Island and the Malaysian mainland. The two are in the same country but serve entirely different purposes and environments.
