Which Lego video game was the first to feature full voice acting?

The story behind the answer

Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes was the first Lego video game to feature full voice acting. Earlier Traveller's Tales Lego games generally relied on mime performances, grunts, gestures, and other wordless reactions rather than spoken dialogue.

Released in 2012, Lego Batman 2 expanded beyond Batman and Robin by bringing in Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, the Flash, and other DC characters. The larger cast and more story-focused presentation made spoken dialogue especially useful, helping the game feel more like a conventional superhero adventure.

The change is sometimes confused with the earlier Lego Star Wars and Lego Indiana Jones games, which had memorable character performances but did not use full spoken dialogue. Lego Batman 2 also introduced a more open Gotham City, where players could explore between missions and unlock additional characters.

Its sequel, Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, retained voice acting and broadened the scope to include much of the DC Universe, but it was not the first.
