What 2006 sequel followed Lego Star Wars: The Video Game?

The story behind the answer

The 2006 sequel to Lego Star Wars: The Video Game was Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy.

The first Lego Star Wars game, released in 2005, adapted the Star Wars prequel trilogy. Its sequel shifted to the original trilogy, covering A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi through Lego-styled action-adventure gameplay.

Traveller's Tales developed the game, with LucasArts and TT Games Publishing among its publishers. It expanded vehicle-focused levels, improved camera movement, and introduced character customization, while retaining the series' cooperative play and visual comedy.

Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga is not the immediate sequel: it arrived in 2007 and combined the original game with Lego Star Wars II, adding enhancements and extra content. Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars followed later, in 2011, and Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens came later still.
