Which console received Among Us on December 15, 2020?
Answer
Nintendo Switch
Which console received Among Us on December 15, 2020? The Nintendo Switch received Among Us on that date.
Among Us first launched on mobile devices in June 2018 and on Windows in November 2018. Its enormous popularity in 2020 led Innersloth to expand onto consoles, beginning with Nintendo’s hybrid system. The Switch release occurred on December 15, 2020, the same day the port was announced during a Nintendo Indie World presentation.
The Switch version supported cross-platform play with the mobile and Windows editions, allowing players on different systems to join the same multiplayer sessions. The port was co-developed by PlayEveryWare. Shortly after launch, players also discovered an exploit that allowed access to The Airship before that map’s official release; a subsequent update fixed it.
The other choices arrived later or did not match the date. PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 received the game on December 14, 2021, alongside Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. Thus, Nintendo Switch is the single canonical answer for the 2020 release date.
