Which two mobile platforms first received Among Us in June 2018?

The story behind the answer

Android and iOS were the two mobile platforms that first received Among Us in June 2018.

Innersloth released Among Us on June 15, 2018, for Android and iOS under the early app identity “spacemafia.” The game began as a small mobile project inspired by the social-deduction party game Mafia and the science-fiction film The Thing.

Its initial release attracted only a modest audience. The Windows version followed on November 16, 2018, while Nintendo Switch arrived in December 2020 and PlayStation and Xbox versions followed in December 2021.

The mobile launch is sometimes confused with the game's later explosion in popularity. Among Us became a global phenomenon in 2020 after Twitch streamers and YouTubers brought it to huge audiences. Cross-platform play later helped connect mobile players with people using Windows and consoles, but Android and iOS were the original June 2018 platforms.
