Which company published the 1998 game Lego Loco?
Answer
Lego Media
Answer
Lego Media
Lego Media published the 1998 game Lego Loco. The title was released for Microsoft Windows on 11 November 1998 and was developed by Intelligent Games, a British studio known for sports and strategy software.
Lego Loco was one of the first games released through Lego Media International, the Lego Group’s publishing division created after the commercial success of Lego Island. Lego Media worked with outside developers to expand the company’s presence in computer games. The game lets players build a town with roads, railway lines, stations, buildings and scenery, then watch Lego minifigures and trains bring the miniature world to life.
A common mix-up is Mindscape, which published Lego Island and helped establish Lego’s early videogame presence. Mindscape did not publish Lego Loco. Krisalis Software developed Lego Chess, another of the three Lego Media titles released on the same day, while Intelligent Games developed Lego Loco. Lego Media was later renamed Lego Software in 2000 and Lego Interactive in 2002.
