Which company developed the majority of Lego video games?
Answer
Traveller's Tales
Answer
Traveller's Tales
The company that developed the majority of Lego video games is Traveller's Tales.
Traveller's Tales established its Lego-game identity with Lego Star Wars: The Video Game, released in 2005. The game's success led the developer to create a long-running series of Lego adaptations based on Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Batman, Harry Potter, Marvel, The Lord of the Rings, and other properties.
In 2005, Traveller's Tales acquired Giant Interactive Entertainment, and the companies combined to form TT Games. Traveller's Tales became the development arm, while TT Games also operated publishing and corporate functions. That relationship explains why both names appear in connection with Lego games, but Traveller's Tales is the studio traditionally credited with developing many of the best-known titles.
The Lego Group created the toy brand and has also been involved in video-game publishing and licensing, but it did not develop most of the major console series. Warner Bros. later became the primary publisher after acquiring TT Games in 2007. TT Fusion, another TT Games division, developed titles such as Lego City Undercover, so not every Lego game came directly from the Traveller's Tales studio.
