The Lady Greyhounds face Chelsea in the Women's FA Cup in Ted Lasso season 4.
The matchup is announced at the end of “Greyhounds' Day Off,” the fourth episode. The announcement gives Richmond's women's team a major competitive challenge after a team-building day that ends with the players being arrested following a pub brawl.
The Chelsea match is played in episode 5, “Riches of Embarrassment.” Richmond struggles to attract supporters, and Chelsea takes a 2–0 lead before the Lady Greyhounds fight back in the second half.
Richmond eventually equalizes, but Niamh Harrigan scores an own goal in the final minute. That mistake gives Chelsea the victory. The fictional AFC Richmond has faced Chelsea-related storylines before, but this season-four match is specifically a Women's FA Cup fixture.
