Which returning coach does Brendan Hunt play in Ted Lasso season 4?

Brendan Hunt plays Coach Beard in Ted Lasso season 4.

Coach Beard is Ted’s longtime coaching colleague and one of the principal returning characters. He first joined Ted in the move from the United States to England and became a familiar presence on AFC Richmond’s coaching staff.

Hunt is not only the actor playing Beard; he is also a co-creator, executive producer and writer on the series. His involvement behind the camera helped shape the show’s distinctive balance of football, friendship and comedy.

Coach Beard’s name is usually shortened to “Beard” in dialogue, but the canonical character name is Coach Beard. He is distinct from Roy Kent, who is played by Brett Goldstein, and Ted Lasso, who is played by Jason Sudeikis.
