At the start of Ted Lasso season 4, what job does Ted have in Kansas City?

At the start of Ted Lasso season 4, Ted works as a supermarket assistant manager in Kansas City.

The job shows Ted living a quieter life after returning from England to spend more time with his son, Henry. Although his home life is stable, the season presents him as restless outside the coaching environment that had defined his recent years.

Ted’s supermarket position is a temporary chapter rather than a new sporting career. Rebecca, Keeley and Higgins eventually travel to Kansas City and offer him the chance to return to AFC Richmond, this time to help coach the club’s women’s team.

The role can be confused with Ted’s earlier career as an American college football coach. That was his background before Richmond hired him; in season 4, the supermarket job represents his life between coaching assignments.
