Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures was released in 2008.
Developed by Traveller's Tales and published by LucasArts, the action-adventure game adapts scenes from the first three Indiana Jones films: Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Its Lego presentation turns famous archaeological escapes, vehicle chases, and artifact hunts into lighthearted puzzle-solving levels.
The main console and Windows versions launched in June 2008, shortly before Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull reached theaters. That timing can cause confusion because the fourth film was also prominent in the game's marketing period, but it is not part of this game's main story. A Mac OS X version followed later in November 2008.
The title is also easy to mix up with Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues, which arrived in 2009 and included material from Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. The 2008 release is the original game, focused on the first trilogy.
