What was the name of the Seattle studio where Pearl Jam recorded Ten?
Answer
London Bridge Studio
Answer
London Bridge Studio
Pearl Jam recorded Ten at London Bridge Studio in Shoreline, Washington. The sessions took place in 1991 with producer Rick Parashar and helped create the band’s debut studio album.
The album grew from instrumental demos recorded by guitarist Stone Gossard and bassist Jeff Ament after the breakup of Mother Love Bone. Vocalist Eddie Vedder added lyrics and melodies after receiving the demo tape, and the newly assembled band recorded the basic tracks at London Bridge. The studio was owned by producers Rick Parashar and Raj Parashar.
Ten was released on August 27, 1991, by Epic Records. Although it was Pearl Jam’s debut album, it did not immediately become a chart-topping success; its audience expanded through touring and radio exposure. The album’s title refers to basketball player Mookie Blaylock’s jersey number, since the band briefly used Mookie Blaylock as its name.
