What species is DJ Rotom in Pokémon Pokopia?

DJ Rotom is a Rotom in Pokémon Pokopia.

DJ Rotom is a special character whose Rotom has possessed a stereo system. The character combines Rotom's established ability to inhabit electrical appliances with the game's emphasis on giving individual Pokémon distinctive roles in the restored community.

Rotom is an Electric- and Ghost-type Pokémon introduced in Generation IV. In the wider Pokémon series, Rotom can possess several appliances and take different forms. DJ Rotom's connection to a stereo system is a story-specific use of that same possession concept.

The name can cause confusion because DJ describes the character's role rather than its species. It is also not a separate evolution or regional form. Pokopia uses similar descriptive names for special Pokémon, including Chef Dente and Mosslax, but each still belongs to a recognizable species from the Pokémon series.
