What is the name of the protagonist in Lego City Undercover?

The protagonist in Lego City Undercover is Chase McCain. He is an undercover police officer investigating the escaped criminal Rex Fury in Lego City.

Chase’s defining feature is his collection of disguises, which grant abilities linked to different jobs. He can use a miner’s pickaxe, a firefighter’s equipment, an astronaut’s jetpack, and other tools to solve puzzles and reach new areas.

The game was originally released for Wii U in 2013 and later remastered for Windows, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in 2017. A Nintendo 3DS prequel, Lego City Undercover: The Chase Begins, also follows Chase McCain, but depicts events earlier in his career.

A common mix-up is confusing Chase with Rex Fury, the main criminal he pursues, or with characters from other Lego games. Chase is the player-controlled hero and the central character throughout the main story.
