The premium currency in Among Us is Stars. Stars are the game’s paid currency, used for selected special cosmetics, bundles, and Cosmicubes in the in-game store.
Stars were introduced with the November 9, 2021 Roles & Cosmicubes update, which also added Beans and Pods. These currencies have different purposes: Beans are generally earned through normal gameplay, while Pods are tied to progression within an activated Cosmicube. Stars traditionally stood apart because players purchased them with real money rather than earning them through ordinary matches.
A later mobile feature allowed some players to earn Stars by watching optional advertisements, but Stars remained classified as the premium currency. This is why “Coins,” “Gems,” and “Tickets” are not correct answers, even though those names are common in other games. Among Us uses Stars for premium purchases, Beans for regular rewards, and Cosmicube-specific Pods for unlocking items along progression paths.
