Peakychu is the Pikachu who lost its ability to generate electricity in Pokémon Pokopia.
Peakychu is one of the special Pokémon encountered as Ditto restores habitats. The character is based on Pikachu but has a distinctive personal situation that separates it from the ordinary species description familiar from other Pokémon games.
This character is easy to confuse with Pichu or Raichu, which are separate Pokémon species in the same evolutionary family. Peakychu is instead a named special Pikachu appearing in Pokopia’s story and world.
Pokopia uses several such characters to give familiar Pokémon unusual identities and roles. Other examples include Smearguru, an exceptionally talented Smeargle; Mosslax, a Snorlax covered in vegetation after sleeping for a very long time; and DJ Rotom, who possesses a stereo system.
