Answer
Lego Dimensions
Answer
Lego Dimensions
The Lego video game that combines physical toy bricks with a video game is Lego Dimensions.
Released in 2015, Lego Dimensions is a toys-to-life action-adventure game built around a USB toy pad. Players place physical Lego minifigures and vehicles on the pad, and the game reads those toys so their digital counterparts can appear in the adventure.
The Starter Pack included the game, the toy pad, three minifigures, and one vehicle. Additional packs expanded the roster and brought together more than 30 entertainment properties, including DC Comics, The Lego Movie, The Lord of the Rings, Portal 2, and The Wizard of Oz. This crossover design made the game a playful multiverse rather than a single licensed story.
Lego Dimensions was developed by Traveller's Tales and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Wii U. Unlike some competing toys-to-life series, its new figures remained compatible with the original game instead of requiring a numbered sequel. Support ended in October 2017, when no further packs or content were planned.
