The Greedent character in Pokémon Pokopia is named Chef Dente.
Chef Dente is one of the special Pokémon encountered during the story. The character is a Greedent who once belonged to a chef trainer, giving the name and role a direct connection to cooking.
Chef Dente is part of a group of distinctive named Pokémon whose identities go beyond their species names. Other examples include Peakychu, a Pikachu who lost the ability to generate electricity; Mosslax, a Snorlax covered by vegetation; and DJ Rotom, a Rotom possessing a stereo system.
Players may confuse Chef Dente with Professor Tangrowth, who is a Tangrowth and an important story character. The two have different species and narrative roles.
