What is the name of the first map in Among Us?

The Skeld is the first map in Among Us. It is a spaceship map and was the original playable setting when the game launched in 2018, long before later locations such as MIRA HQ, Polus, The Airship, and the Fungle were added.

The Skeld’s layout centers on the Cafeteria, where players begin most rounds and where the emergency button is located. Its rooms include Navigation, Weapons, O2, Electrical, MedBay, Security, Storage, Communications, and Lower and Upper Engine. Crewmates move through these rooms to complete tasks while trying to identify the Impostors.

Players often confuse “first map” with the map that was first added after launch. MIRA HQ was the second map, released in 2019, while Polus followed later that year. The Skeld remains especially recognizable because its security cameras, reactor, vents, and central Cafeteria form the visual and strategic template for the rest of the game.
