The escaped prisoner villain in Lego Island is The Brickster. He breaks out of jail during the game’s special mission and attempts to dismantle the island using stolen vehicles and a laser powered by a stolen power brick.

Lego Island was released for Windows in 1997 and follows Pepper Roni, a pizza-delivery boy, along with several other playable minifigures. To trigger the main villain sequence, the player uses Pepper to deliver a pizza to the jail after building a police helicopter. The Brickster uses the pizza’s extreme heat to melt his cell lock and escape.

The Brickster is often confused with characters from later Lego games, but he is the defining antagonist of the original Lego Island. After his escape, Pepper chases him on a skateboard, recovers helicopter parts, and helps stop the destruction. The Brickster returned in the sequel Lego Island 2: The Brickster’s Revenge, released in 2001.
