What is the name of the Batmobile mode used for combat?
Answer
Battle Mode
Answer
Battle Mode
The combat-focused Batmobile mode in Batman: Arkham Knight is Battle Mode. In this configuration, the vehicle transforms from a fast pursuit car into a heavily armored, tank-like combat machine.
Battle Mode gives the Batmobile a full 360-degree range of movement, including the ability to strafe sideways. It also exposes the vehicle’s weapon systems, such as the Vulcan cannon, 60mm cannon, anti-tank missiles, and non-lethal riot suppressor. Batman uses these tools against drones, tanks, militia vehicles, and other battlefield threats across Gotham.
The game’s other driving configuration is Pursuit Mode, which is designed for normal travel, chasing vehicles, jumping obstacles, and completing Riddler racing challenges. A common mix-up is calling Battle Mode “Tank Mode,” because the Batmobile behaves like a tank, but “Battle Mode” is the official in-game name.
Arkham Knight introduced the drivable Batmobile as a major gameplay feature when it launched in 2015. Its two-mode design lets players switch between high-speed traversal and heavy combat without changing vehicles.
