Kimberly Brooks voices Oracle in Batman: Arkham Asylum. Oracle is Barbara Gordon, the former Batgirl who continues helping Batman after a devastating spinal injury leaves her unable to operate in the field.
In the game, Oracle serves as Batman’s remote intelligence partner. She contacts him by radio, analyzes evidence, tracks developments inside Arkham Island, and helps him navigate the Joker’s escalating plan. Her role turns her into one of Batman’s most important allies even though she is rarely seen directly.
A common mix-up is confusing the character’s identity with her title: Barbara Gordon is the person, while Oracle is her superhero identity. Kimberly Brooks also voices Oracle in Batman: Arkham City, but Barbara appears in a different role and with a different voice actor in Arkham Knight. The character’s history connects the Arkham games to the broader Batman tradition, where Oracle became a major information and coordination specialist for Gotham’s heroes.
