The Assassin Brotherhood's ship in Assassin's Creed III is the Aquila.
Connor uses the Aquila during naval missions set along the Atlantic coast and in the waters around the Thirteen Colonies. The vessel is a schooner associated with the Assassin cause, and its sailing sections let players battle British warships, navigate dangerous waters, and complete objectives away from the mainland.
Naval gameplay became a major feature in Assassin's Creed III and was expanded substantially in Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. The two ships are therefore often mixed up: Edward Kenway commands the Jackdaw in Black Flag, while Connor commands the Aquila in Assassin's Creed III.
The Aquila's name comes from Latin for “eagle,” a fitting symbol for an Assassin vessel. Assassin's Creed III was released in 2012 and is set during the American Revolution, with Connor's land-based story covering Boston, New York, and the frontier.
