Xalax is the fifth and final world in Lego Racers 2.

The game’s adventure begins in Sandy Bay and progresses through Dino Island, Mars, the Arctic and finally Xalax. Players unlock later destinations by collecting golden bricks from races and hidden locations, making Xalax the culmination of the world-by-world campaign rather than just another optional track set.

Xalax is closely tied to the game’s story. Rocket Racer, the champion from the original Lego Racers, travels there after reclaiming his title. The player eventually reaches the alien-themed world to challenge him in the final stage of the racing journey. This gives Xalax a narrative role as well as a geographical one.

Players sometimes confuse Mars with the final world because it is one of the more distinctive science-fiction settings, while Sandy Bay is the starting area. Xalax is also not the first destination: it is the last of the game’s five worlds and the place associated with the concluding championship race.
