What is Pokémon Pokopia’s main setting called?

The story behind the answer

Pokémon Pokopia is set in a post-apocalyptic version of Kanto.

Kanto is the region introduced in the original Pokémon games, Pokémon Red and Green in Japan and Pokémon Red and Blue internationally. Pokopia reimagines it as a landscape abandoned by humans and initially difficult for Pokémon to inhabit.

The player’s Ditto helps restore habitats and make the world livable again. This gives the familiar region a new role: it becomes a place for rebuilding, cultivation, and community rather than a route through gyms and a Pokémon League.

Pokopia’s Kanto should not be confused with the game’s development setting or with later regions such as Johto, Paldea, or Galar. The story specifically identifies the damaged world as Kanto.
