Answer
November 16, 2018
On what date did Among Us release for Windows? Among Us released for Windows on November 16, 2018.
The Windows launch came after the game’s initial mobile release. Innersloth released Among Us for Android and iOS on June 15, 2018, then brought the game to Windows through Steam on November 16 of the same year. The two dates are easy to confuse because both belong to the game’s original 2018 release period.
The Windows version also supported cross-platform play, allowing computer players to join matches with people using mobile devices. That helped Among Us grow as a shared multiplayer experience rather than splitting its early audience by platform.
The game initially received little mainstream attention, and its player base was modest after launch. Its major popularity surge arrived in 2020, helped by streamers, YouTubers, and online socializing during the COVID-19 pandemic. Later ports followed: Nintendo Switch launched on December 15, 2020, while PlayStation and Xbox versions arrived in December 2021. Thus, December 15, 2020 is the Switch date—not the Windows release date.
