Lego Harry Potter: Years 5-7 is based on the final how many Harry Potter books?

The story behind the answer

Lego Harry Potter: Years 5–7 is based on the final three Harry Potter books.

The 2011 action-adventure game covers Harry's fifth, sixth, and seventh school-year stories: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. The final novel was adapted into two films, so the game covers four movies even though it represents three books.

That difference is the main source of confusion. The title Years 5–7 refers to the three remaining school years after Lego Harry Potter: Years 1–4, which covered the first four novels. Deathly Hallows is one book but became Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 and Part 2 on screen.

Traveller's Tales developed the game, while Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment published it. It launched in North America on November 11, 2011, and followed the same playful, puzzle-focused style as the earlier Harry Potter Lego game.
