In Among Us, which team are most players assigned to each round?

In Among Us, most players assigned to each round are Crewmates.

Crewmates form the larger team because the game is designed around an information imbalance: several players perform tasks and investigate events, while a smaller number of hidden Impostors try to disrupt them. Crewmates can win by completing their assigned tasks or identifying and ejecting all Impostors.

A standard game supports four to fifteen players, and the host can configure the number of Impostors. Up to three players may be selected as Impostors, so the remaining participants are normally Crewmates. Specialized roles such as Engineer, Scientist, Guardian Angel, Tracker, and Detective are role variants within the Crewmate side rather than separate teams.

The wording can cause confusion because not every Crewmate is simply a “regular” Crewmate. Some have extra abilities, but they still belong to the larger team whose shared goals are completing tasks and stopping the Impostors.
