Up to four people can play Pokémon Pokopia together online or through local wireless multiplayer.
The multiplayer feature lets players share the game’s creative activities, including building and developing a Pokémon community. This expands the experience beyond a solitary life-simulation adventure and allows friends to work on a shared paradise.
Pokémon Pokopia also supports GameShare. This allows the game to be shared with someone who does not own a copy, subject to the session’s requirements and restrictions. Local wireless play normally requires one console and one copy of the software per player.
The number four refers to the maximum group size, not the number of players required to begin. Pokémon Pokopia can be played alone, while a group can include as many as four participants. Online play requires the relevant Nintendo Switch Online membership and internet features.
