Morgan Wallen won 11 awards at the 2023 Billboard Music Awards, making him the ceremony’s most decorated artist that year.
The awards recognized the commercial performance of Wallen’s album One Thing at a Time and its singles, particularly “Last Night.” He also won major country and overall chart honors, including Top Artist, Top Male Artist, Top Billboard 200 Album, Top Country Artist, and Top Hot 100 Artist.
Taylor Swift was the night’s most nominated artist, with 20 nominations, and won 10 awards—one fewer than Wallen. The 2023 ceremony was unusual because it was presented as a digital event, with performances and award announcements released online rather than through a traditional live television broadcast.
A common mix-up is confusing nominations with wins: Swift led nominations, while Wallen led victories. The ceremony covered chart activity from late 2022 through October 2023.
