How many assassins are drawn to Gotham in Batman: Arkham Origins? Eight assassins are drawn to Gotham.
Black Mask places a $50 million bounty on Batman during the events of Arkham Origins. The reward attracts eight of the world’s most dangerous professional assassins to Gotham on Christmas Eve, turning Batman’s early-career crisis into a lethal manhunt.
The assassins include Deathstroke, Deadshot, Copperhead, Shiva, Bane, Killer Croc, Firefly, and Lady Shiva. Their missions showcase different threats, from elite combat and firearms to poison, aerial attacks, and overwhelming strength. Not every major villain Batman encounters is part of this assassin group.
A frequent source of confusion is the Joker. He becomes one of the game’s principal antagonists, but he is not counted among the eight assassins hired through Black Mask’s bounty. The number refers specifically to the professional hunters drawn to Gotham by the reward, not to every villain active in the story.
