Who won the EE Rising Star Award at the 2026 BAFTAs?

Robert Aramayo won the EE Rising Star Award at the 2026 BAFTAs.

The award recognises an emerging performer whose work has attracted attention from audiences and the film industry. Unlike the other BAFTA Film Awards, it is voted for by the public, making it a distinctive measure of popular enthusiasm as well as critical momentum.

Aramayo’s 2026 breakthrough was closely linked to I Swear, in which he played John Davidson. He also won the BAFTA for Leading Actor for the same film, giving him two acting honours on the night. He was additionally known to many viewers for playing young Elrond in The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.

The other Rising Star nominees were Archie Madekwe, Chase Infiniti, Miles Caton and Posy Sterling. Aramayo’s win was announced during the ceremony on 22 February 2026 at London’s Royal Festival Hall.
